Adoption Center

Chatham Animal Hospital and Bird Clinic is NOT a pet adoption agency. We do however, sometimes have animals, due to special circumstances that we need to find appropriate homes for.

We do not get any government grants or assistance of any kind to help cover the needs and medical expenses for our adoptable pets or the injured wildlife from our community that we treat for rehabilitation and release. All Pets adopted from us are adopted on a non-profit basis. 

We do not charge a set fee for any pet adopted from us. We do ask that the adopting owner contribute a certrain fee to be determined depending on the animals needs.

Donations are accepted and always appreciated. Monetary donations will be put in a fund to help stray and abandoned animals with any medical care needed. Donations of towels, blankets etc.. will be distributed among our animals in need, as well as other rescue organizations we work with.

There is an adoption process which will include an application that will be reviewed by our adoption agents and subject to approval.

There are several other pet adoption organizations in Savannah. We recommend that you check Animal Control and The Humane Society. Also, in our "Helpful Website Links" found at the top of our home page are additional groups that are not local.
